Followap

Followap is a telecommunications company that became a leading provider of instant messaging and presence products in the year 1999.  The company became a large success with over seventeen mobile operators, several of which are tier one, and providing services to a base of subscribers totaling more than two hundred million.  Followap was acquired by another telecommunications company in 2006, but until that time its products allowed operators to create high level, interoperable presence enabled services, which led the way for next generation networks.  Followap can be credited with standardizing industry efforts in the areas of 3GPP, OMA, GSM association, and IETF.
In the year 2000, Followap made history by launching the first ever mobile instant messaging service for the commercial market.  This was done by partnering with Eircell, which at the time was the largest operator in Ireland.  Other major Followap customers included companies such as Telecom Italia, Hutchinson pastillas para bajar de peso 3G Group, Wind, Vodafone Group, BT Group, Mobinil, and Turkcell.  Followap had several major investors at the time as well, including the likes of Carmel Ventures and Sequoia Capital.  This made the company quite attractive, which led to NeuStar acquiring it in November of 2006, for one hundred thirty nine million dollars.
NeuStar came on the scene shortly after being incorporated in 1998 in Delaware.  The company first began as a smaller unit of business located with the larger organization known as the Lockheed Martin Corporation.  NeuStar was spun off in an effort to keep the neutrality that was critical to enforcing the original contract with many of the nation’s telecommunication providers.  NeuStar was now its own entity and in 2010 named a new President and Chief Operating Officer, Lisa Hook.
NeuStar operates the authoritative directories that handle essentially all of the telephone numbers and area codes within the United States and Canada.  This allows the routing of all calls by thousands of Communications Service Providers (CSPs) that are in competition with one another.  Each Telecommunications Service Provider (TSP) that provides telecommunication services to the general public must go through the NeuStar clearing house in order to properly route juegos de mario bros all of the calls being made by the customers.  Furthermore, NeuStar offers clearing house services to new CSPs, including all Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service providers, cable television operators, and mobile network operators.
If this was not enough to impress you, NeuStar also is in charge of internal and external DNS managed services that have to do with directing and managing traffic on the internet as a whole.  The company also manages the authoritative directories for the internet domains of .biz and .us.  NeuStar is also referred to as the “worldwide registry gateway” for Taiwan’s .tw internet domains, and China’s .cn internet domains that are not located within these countries.
Back end registry services for .co top level domains are also provided by NeuStar.  The directories are managed in a collection by the company in an effort to maintain addresses to prioritize, manage general traffic, direct traffic, and find and determine internet question and top level domain issues on the part of its enterprise clients.  NeuStar further serves as a provider of registry services and manages the directories of smaller entities or addresses that customers use on a regular como bajar de peso rapido basis for connections and general access.

In addition to all of these other responsibilities, NeuStar is in charge of the Digital Rights Locker for the association of Hollywood studies, retailers and consumer electronics manufacturers associated with the Ultra Violet digital content scheme to give consumers the ability to buy one product and play it anywhere they choose.  The company is also currently working in conjunction with the Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC) to oversee the Mobile DTV Trust Authority (MDTV).  The MDTV issues a chain of command for digital certificates to offer secure, simple to use, efficient online systems to handle the complete span of mobile DTV trust relationships.  This process oversees everything from registering to ordering, through delivery, authentication, status updates, and cancellation.
What started off as a smaller entity known as Followap in the mid 1990s hascome a long way to cover the majority of the telecommunications industry in a wide range of forms.  Today, the company continues to grow and expand, and in October of 2011 went on to acquire TARGUSInfo.  Growing in size and its commitment to serving the ever changing needs of the industry, NeuStar continues to be a leader in a variety of ways.
